“SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!” She wanted to shout. But she knew better. She knew no one would listen.
People were too wrapped up in themselves to.
She was so sick of it all.
So sick of having to pretend to be a different person just to hold up a normal conversation.
So sick of everyone wanting different pieces from her.
Pieces she didn't have.
Pieces she didn't want.
It was tearing her to pieces.
She was so sick of plastering a fake smile on her face and nodding along with whatever whoever was saying.
Why did everyone want something else from her? Why couldn't the real her be enough?
Why wasn't she enough?
The pieces left to her were cracked and shattered. People didn't want them. They didn't want her.
They wanted their own special version of her to play with and manipulate.
And she gave it to them.
Because pretending was her only choice.
{*}{*}{*}
Wow, that sucks. So bad.
Just excuse it. :/

I hate pretending, but sometimes you have to do it to appear strong
i loved that. it was so deep, and.. real.
and i agree with "doublebanker".

I agree with the other two guys...but this was so painful to read. It was as though you were dragging them out of my soul on to the screen.
Definitely relatable.
